Cuando me preguntaron cuál era el "secreto" de mi matrimonio de 57 años con Anne, respondí: "Perdón". ¿Por qué? ¿Qué tiene de poderosa esa palabra?

Todos estamos lejos de ser perfectos, y no importa cuán enamorados estén ustedes dos, se sentirán lastimados.

Entonces, si ambos quieren permanecer enamorados, deben perdonar, porque sin perdón, todos los demás atributos se pierden, y también lo hará su relación.

The Most Powerful Word

When I was asked the "secret" to Anne's and my 57-year marriage, I replied, "Forgiveness." Why? What is so powerful about that one word?

We are all far from perfect, and no matter how much in love the two of you are, you will be hurt. 

So if you both want to remain in love, you must forgive, for without forgiveness, every other attribute is lost, and so will be your relationship.
